About This Product
Double Medium Shred is a double-shredded bark mulch with a lighter tannish-brown hue and a fine, consistent texture. This is the lightest-weight mulch available from APLS, making it a great option for blower installations and large-scale commercial projects. Made from 100% natural hardwood bark (Maple, Cherry, Oak), double-shredded and screened. Free of chemicals, insects, and foreign matter. 100% ethically sourced and recycled. Works well in garden beds, around trees and shrubs, and in commercial landscape applications. Popular throughout Allison Park, Cranberry, and the greater Pittsburgh area. Sold per cubic yard — 1 yard covers approximately 100 square feet at 3 inches deep.
Does not attract insects or harbor mold. For best results in hot weather, allow new mulch to sit 2–4 days before spreading, keep several inches away from grass and sensitive plants, and keep mulch away from plant stems. Avoid watering for 24 hours after application.
