About This Product
Children's Choice™ Playground Surfacing is an Engineered Wood Fiber (EWF) product made from 100% natural hardwoods — creating a safe, durable, and accessible surface for playgrounds and play areas. Made from 100% natural hardwoods including Maple, Cherry, and Oak — no chemicals, insects, or extraneous matter. With proper installation, Children's Choice provides industry-leading protection from serious injuries caused by falls from playground equipment. Meets or exceeds the Consumer Product Safety Commission's requirements for shock absorption (ASTM F1292-09) and wheelchair accessibility (ASTM F1951-09). Practical, economical, and low maintenance compared to synthetic surfacing. Can be installed via blower or traditional methods. Ideal for school playgrounds, daycare facilities, backyard swing sets, community parks, and church play areas. Also used for pet areas and pathways where a soft, cushioned ground cover is preferred. 100% natural, ethically sourced, and recycled. Available for delivery throughout the Pittsburgh metro area. Sold per cubic yard.
