Single Shred Mulch

Single-Shred mulch (also known as Standard-Shred) is the traditional ground cover in Western PA. Used for decades to suppress weed growth and provide a clean, natural look for garden beds, tree rings, hillsides, and pathway borders. Made from 100% natural hardwood bark (Maple, Cherry, Oak), ground and screened, then stacked to allow further breakdown through natural decomposition. Does not attract insects or harbor mold. For best results in hot weather, allow new mulch to sit 2–4 days before spreading, keep several inches away from grass and sensitive plants, and keep mulch away from plant stems. Avoid watering for 24 hours after application.
